preschool homeschool || autumn week

The month of October has been an apple loving month for us.

You can see our apple picking adventures here, here, and here
Logan loves this time of year, as do we, so I decided to blend our apple time adventures into our fall preschool homeschool curriculum.

I found this sweet apple counting craft that incorporates counting and sensory learning with finger paint.
We read this book to compliment our theme and to highlight other things we've discussed about apples. It was a cute story where the students learn about apples and apple orchards. It also talks about how apples are harvested, how cider is made, and what the different types of apples are, all while trying to solve a riddle.

What I liked most about this book is that it allowed Logan to see what a school field trip with classmates is like (something that she doesn't experience doing preschool at home.) It also celebrates how children learn differently.

We picked up foam stickers from the craft store. Lo made this cute little card for her Great Grandmother.
 We also made place cards for Thanksgiving dinner. I know we're a bit early, but that's okay with me. We have them in a safe spot ready for when we need them. Jordan and Lo made them together. I love when her older cousins do sweet crafts with her.
We put out pumpkins.
Decorated Halloween cupcakes
and played in the leaves.
*More on that to come.
It's been a great week.
