metal straws + sea turtles-- classmate gifts

I never got around to sharing Logan's Valentine's from this past school year (fourth grade) but since they aren't Valentine specific, I figured I'd share them anyway because they could actually be used for any gift type. We purchased both the stickers and the straws in bulk from Amazon. We used paper tape to secure the stickers to the back of the straw and while Logan picked out certain ones for certain friends, she wrote out their name and signed hers on the back with a sharpie (no smearing) Simple, yet still personal. They were such a hit with both the boys and the girls in the class. You could swap out the sticker for any kind. Logan picked the sea turtle to go with a very VSCO 'save the sea turtles" theme. This would also be a fun think to hand out for any school (or non-school) event: earth day, christmas, halloween, or just for fun. They are cute, simple, and fun-- which check off all of my boxes.

philly pizza + play day

A few months back---

We dropped Logan off to school and headed into the city for an impromptu day trip with our sweet dude. We headed into he city to the Please Touch Museum. Adler had never been here before and was so excited to be somewhere new.

Before heading in, we spent some time outside of the building practicing going up and down the steps. This is an area where Adler needs work. The steps here were easier for him because they are shorter and squatter then your standard set of stairs. He went both up and down them rotating feet (first time for him) and it literally made me so happy and proud.

In the museum Adler especially loved...
the water table
the kids market
the art room
the baby nursery
the actual septa bus-- very cool
and the carousel of course!

We ended the day with a late lunch at a pizza by the slice shop which was totally amazing (the pictures don't even do it justice!) and grabbed a coffee to go from our favorite coffee shop in the city.

We cannot wait to go back-- and to bring Logan with us this time too.
