wrapping presents with goldfish crackers

We partnered up with Goldfish crackers again to show how we incorporate our favorite snack into our holiday traditions. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year. Goldfish crackers helps us in making it a little extra wonderful. Classics and classics. Is there anything better!? The kids wouldn't think so. The two of them ate almost the whole bag!

Visit here for the Goldfish crackers Pinterest page for holiday activity, craft, and mix ideas to create your own Goldfish moments together as a family. For extra festivities, you can pull out a bag of colored Goldfish crackers. You can learn more about them here.

Logan tried her best in wrapping, but Jordan was on a mission to make this specific gift the best wrapped present under our tree. We decided Lo would be our official snack getter and help when Jordy needed her to. Goldfish crackers are a snack I feel good about serving to my children. They are always baked with  real cheese, they have no artificial flavors or preservatives, and their colors are sourced from plants, such as annatto extracted from the reddish seeds of the achiote tree.

Every year I love buying wrapping paper-- probably more than we need. I'm all about a quality thick paper that won't tear when you cut it. These plaid Christmas trees are my favorite-- and these simple tags paired with it...perfection!

We had so much fun creating this video which was set out to be, older cousin Jordan teaching Logan to wrap a present, but turned into him handling it all on his own. She didn't mind too much because goldfish crackers were still included. Also, the song in this video is pure magic.

We used to visit the city much more when we just had logan, and even more so before having her. Hitting up local towns and cities has always been a favorite thing of ours, and now with the kids we love it even more— but we don’t do it nearly enough. Strolling the streets on a beautiful day, seeking out new restaurants, small shops, and good brew— always leaving refreshed and inspired...nothing better! Our recent visit into the city last week was so good for us. Strolling leaf covered streets, a quick breakfast in an old tiny cafe, a visit to the aquarium, and lunch with favorite friends. Looking forward to planning a few more trips before it gets too cold and we turn into hermits.

a new snack bar jam

Lunch is my love language. It has been since becoming mama to my first baby. I always loved exploring new creative ways to implement yummy, whole, natural foods in to her diet. This seems a lot easier when she was a baby, and the only food she knew was what we had at home. As she grew older she became exposed to different foods: school lunches, birthday parties, carnivals and fairs. I find it just as important now in keeping her interested and aware of healthy, whole + natural super foods. You can see a few lunches from over the years here and here, and some baby food inspo. here.

So when I was offered to partner up with an organic brand with similar values, I couldn't turn it down. Let me just start off by saying that bar snacks are our jam. I love the little punch it gives just when you need it. A lot of them though refilled with too much unnecessary added sugar. Happy Kids fruit bars have no added sugar. No added sugar.  So I immediately knew that they would be perfect for us to try out.

And boy are we happy we did! After her first bite, Logan exclaimed that we should buy more and try other flavors-- which we surely obliged! Logan loves the taste and has packed them in her lunch and snack a few times already since buying them. We bought ours from Walmart online, but you can also get them at Babies R Us and Amazon.

These bars have also become a staple snack that we'll keep stocked for after school, before dance, soccer practice, play dates, etc. In fact we used them this week for a play date and there were a hit! The kids could eat them met free while finishing their painting masterpieces. :)
